SOCCER CARDS INVESTMENT OPINION – MARCH 25, 2021 – EURO 2020
After a year like 2020, it's no surprise that everyone is absolutely pumped and ready for EURO 2020. A big sports event will give us back a sense of normalcy and we are extremely happy that Euro 2020 will take place in the summer of 2021.
Euro 2020 kicks off on Friday June 11, 2021 and will give us a good sense on where the European nation teams stand a year before World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
This year we have seen an increased amount of injuries on the European fields. This possibly has to do with the fully packed schedule that got even more cramped due to rescheduling for Covid-19. Looking back, a less packed schedule with reduced games could have been beneficial for the players in this turbulent year.
Let's start by looking at the final groups for this summer:
This European Cup is more complicated in the knock-out qualifying set-up since 4 teams that place 3rd in their group will advance to the knock-out phase to establish a round of 16. This opens the way for a scenario where Portugal, France and Germany all could qualify for the round of 16.
The next few weeks we will write about each group and our expectations for the teams that are in it. Of course we link to the soccer cards we have available on our website too so when we break down the groups, countries and players to watch you can take a quick peek at the players you might want to buy before the big tournament starts that millions all across the world will be watching.
Let us start with giving you a nice link to our complete Panini EURO 2020 Select collection with more than 300 cards to choose from.
In our next investment blog, we will be breaking down Group A with Turkey, Italy, Wales and Switzerland. After Group F maybe the most interesting group of all.
