SOCCER CARDS INVESTMENT INVSMENT OPINION– April 8, 2021 - EURO 2020 GROUP B
Today we will zoom in on Euro 2020 Group B. We will break down the nations Denmark, Finland, Belgium and Russia, and highlight some players to watch!

Again a group that's not easy to predict in our opinion. Belgium will have to proof their role as favorites for the title in this group and get away with 9 points over 3 games to qualify as first place in this group. After that it's wide open. With the best numbers 3 to advance into the next round, the 3rd round of games should remain interesting where in previous tournaments things often looked pretty set in stone after the second round of games. Denmark has a few quality players, but almost always (I didn't forget about 1992) shows up short at big tournaments. Finland is new to the stage of a big tournament, and we are just remembering how Iceland made people extremely excited in 2016 by reaching the Quarter Finals (sorry England). I could see the hardworking Fins with a few quality players in their squad reach similar levels as Iceland a few years ago. This leaves us with Russia which always should be considered as a dangerous outsider. Russia is a team that will be hard too beat, but on top of that, they do have some goal scoring ability up front.
We highlighted some players to watch. These are not always the biggest stars on the team, but players we think can make a difference for their team at Euro 2020 based on their performance: While this group is extremely hard to predict we will go with the following end result:
1. Belgium
Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City)
Dries Mertens (Napoli)
I think these names speak for themselves. If you have arguably the best midfielder in the world, a top class striker and a player that can feed your striker through the wings, anything but first place in this group would be a disappointing result for Belgium.
2. Russia
Yury Zhirkov (Zenit)
Aleksandr Golovin ( AS Monaco)
Arltem Dzyuba (Zenit)
Combine a few veteran soccer players with some players that are entering or in the middle of their prime and some nice results can come from it. Russia will be relying on gols from Dzyuba and on Golovin for set pieces. A team that will proof hard to beat and we think they will go through as second in this group, because we think they have the biggest chance of getting a positive result against the Belgium team.
3. Finland
Jesse Joronen (Brescia)
Joel Pohjanpalo ( Union Berlin)
We have Finland with Pukki leading the bunch in 3rd place in this group which possibly qualifies for a knock-out round qualification. I think Finland will come together and fight as 1 team. Teamwork and the will to win above anything else should get this Finnish team some points along the way.
4. Denmark
Cristian Eriksen ( Inter Milan)
Kasper Dolberg (Nice)
Putting Denmark in 4th of this group might be a shocker to some people. And I agree, they could easily be flipped with Finland and still make 3rd place and possibly qualify. With players like Christensen, Eriksen and Dolberg who are super exciting players to watch, Denmark just always comes short when it comes to it. While I hope to be proven wrong by them, I think the group stage is the end stage for this team.
